Arrived Australia 1988. Australian Citizenship 1996. Full retirement from TAFE NSW November 2013. Friends of the Hawkesbury Arts Community & Regional Gallery Inc.
Diana Lee-Gobbitt has been a member of Friends of the Hawkesbury Arts Community & Regional Gallery Inc. (FOHAC&RAG Inc) since 1999. As Publicity Officer and Public Officer, with two hundred members of the Society, a twenty year recommendation was encouraged by the Society that a Public Art Gallery be built for purpose in Windsor. Hawkesbury City Council received initial funding from the Ministry for the Arts and WSROC. The Deerubbin Centre Hawkesbury City Council and all Residents, acknowledge Hawkesbury and Nepean Indigenous peoples, the Dharug.

CULTURAL HERITAGE The vision and mandate for the Gallery, designed by Architects Pont Williams & Leroy Pty Ltd was to recognize and welcome local and travelling exhibitions, to conserve Hawkesbury City Council’s Art Collection, and to ensure historical, Indigenous cultural heritage, and artistic endeavour could be further developed and shared with Hawkesbury, Nepean and Blue Mountains creatives. Ingrid Hoffman appointed Director. June 2005. The inaugural exhibition ‘Agri-Culture – ‘Recreating the Living Landscape’ Curated by, Cheryl Lin Yo. Lee-Gobbitt was an invited artist for this exhibition with a work from her individual exhibit ‘CroSSover’ Breewood Galleries, 2004. Mayor Councillor Bart Bassett, Hawkesbury City Council welcomed Guest Speaker, Amanda Smith, Director ABC Radio National’s ‘Bush Telegraph.’ John MacDonald, Art Critic, Sydney Morning Herald attended the Opening Ceremony with 400 Guests.
