This delicate Indian style girl's dress is made from fine open weave white cotton. It is wide around the neck line, opening out at the back but has no fastenings. The sleeves are half length and have lace cuffs with rows of hem stitching. Two rows of hem stitching are across the bustline and gathered at hips to form a low 'waistline'. Embroidered mainly on the front with Indian style chain stitch - leaf and flower patterns and two tear drop motifs. The hem is trimmed with narrow lace.
