This protest/social justice badge belonged to, and was worn by, Hamilton activist Catherine Lang. The badge reads 'Fight Education Cuts! Day of Action July 25'. Education funding cuts in New Zealand in the late 1970s and early 1980s were a result of worsening economic conditions, and many protestors took to the street calling for action.
