Description
In 1967 Gerry Nigro began a new series of figurative works which incorporated contemporary forms and modern colour schemes. Undoubtedly the major work from this series was ‘The Mannequins’ which was a finalist in the 1968 Benson and Hedges Art Award. This work is considered to be the ultimate figurative work by Gerry Nigro and is the culmination of his long interest in figurative art.
