Description
Chain of Office for Inner Wheel Club of Hamilton East. The Inner Wheel is a voluntary service institution run by women, active in over 100 countries. The Hamilton East Inner Wheel Chapter formed from the Rotary Club of Hamilton East in 1981. The Chain of Office is a medallion with Inner Wheel Insignia, hanging from a fabric chain on which metal panels have been sewn (these are engraved with the names and service dates of the Club's past president). In 2017, the Club disbanded and proposed to transfer the Chain of Office to Waikato Museum as a symbolic record of their activities.
