Description
Vernaid Bandage carrying the registered no. 710438, dating this bandage to 1925. The first 'Vernaid Bandage' design endorsed by Sir James Cantlie (1851-1926) was likely pre-First World War in origin. Apparently produced in a roll and cut across bias to form two bandages per yard. Sir James Cantlie was the author of "First Aid to the Injured" (8th Ed. 1901).
