Lines, lines and more lines

Description
Zena Elliot explores forms that exist in Maori carving. The parallel lines and groves have a 3 dimensional effect, shaping the form of the tekoteko figure (a carving positioned on the gable of the whare or meeting house). The multi layers and bright colours have a powerful vibrancy. Forms, patterns and colours are combined and conceptualized beautifully and spiritually.
