Bell - Bullock

Description
"Bullock bell from Coromandel District, 1935" on label.
Form: Iron sheet folded into cone shape with flat sides.
Bells were often placed on cows, bullocks and other farm animals that freely roamed on the land. Bells made it easier for locating the animals should they wander off. With modern day farming practises and good fences in place, bells on livestock are quite rare to see nowadays.
