Coromandel Mountain Range

Maker
Tim Wilson
Production date
1971
Description
This painting captures the essence of the Coromandel with the beauty of the native bush and the grandeur of the mountain backdrop.

Tim Wilson’s (1954–) paintings of New Zealand are characterised by a depiction of light and detail. His subjects are usually landscapes on the West Coast of the South Island, which he renders using a semi photo realist approach. A self-taught artist, Wilson won the Eastern and Central Bank Art Award in 1975 and has since established himself as a highly collectable landscape painter.
