Description
This whariki (woven mat) was made by Dame Rangimarie Hetet in 1963. Made from kiekie. Natural kiekie and dyed green kiekie (bush plant) have been used and woven to create the pattern, "Karu o te Whenua", also known as "Wahi Rua".
