Mask

Description
An elongated carved wooden mask predominantly dark brown/black in colour. A stylised face protrudes from the centre while carved serpents/reptiles vertically frame the mask. The face has an orange/rust-coloured tone, possibly due to the application of natural pigment. The mask is from the Murik Lakes, Papua New Guinea.
