Cigarette card no. 35 of the series A Sporting Holiday in New Zealand. The text on the back reads: "Maori War Canoes. On every 17th March at Ngaruawahia, on the Waikato River, a grand spectacle may be seen when the Maori Regatta takes place. One of the big items on the programme is the ceremonial parade of large War Canoes, once used by Maori Warriors for fighting and forays against their enemies. Capable to carrying 100 braves these splendid canoes, fully manned, are an inspired sight".
