Description
Tapestry sample / embroidery sampler made in 1876 by a cousin of Caeser Roose's mother (Mary Roose) in England. The maker was 'C. Barber', aged 13. Brought to New Zealand in 1967. Caesar Roose (1886–1967) was a Waikato-based businessman, entrepreneur, community leader and philanthropist.
