Description
Little girls fawn and blue dress, made with cotton, satin and silk material. Belonged to Mrs Abdiel Seaton (nee Lucy Gill) who either wore the dress herself as a child or had it made for one of her children.

The dress fits for a size 5-7 year old. Main fabric: fawn silk grosgrain, trimmings: blue satin, lining: white cotton, fine glossy white cotton lining skirt and coarser weave cotton twill lining bodice.
Neck - square yoke with blue satin trimming and lace trimming at neckline and blue silk thread tassles from lower edge of yoke.
Sleeves: double layer short sleeve, lower sleeve trimmed at edge with blue satin band and lace trim upper sleeve has two blue satin bands and blue silk thread tassles. Waist: waisted with separate waistband of fawn fabric with blue satin binding - loosely stitched to dress at front, large bow at back. Back opening to below waist, hook and eye fastenings (metal hooks, cotton buttonhole stitched eyes)
Skirt: tiered skirt - upper layer skirt has double row blue satin.
