Description
Victorian period ornate sterling silver snuff box with very detailed engraving top, bottom and sides on outside. The lid has elaborately engraved scrolled frame edges. A crest takes centre position on the lid. The side edges have a scalloped edge top and bottom with engraving in between. The reverse and front sides have a scalloped bottom edge with a flat non-engraved section at the centre ( this is where the thumb-for the front and a finger for the reverse side are placed for when lifting the lid of the container). The remaining front section is engraved. The bottom side is completely engraved with scalloped edges.
