Description
Issued by riflemen in the New Zealand Wars and used to carry ammunition.

Material: leather
Colour: brown, with patina formed on surface.
Form: Rectangular shape
Leather 'hinge' sewn onto back
Lid fits over inner lining.
Small strap on lid sides hooks onto metal button on case side.
Two straps riveted onto front of case.
Two metal stud buttons on base, and a stud on each side to hold the straps
Metal loop sewn onto front of case.
Shaped curved to fit the body.
It has maker's brand.
