Description
It was fashionable for ladies to wear fox fur in the 19th - early 20th centuries. This white fox fur stole is lined with white satin. A pleated edge is along the top side of the lining. Only three legs are used - the front right leg is missing - apparently by design. The left front leg has a chain of cotton covered rings made of ivory or bone? Links are sewn to it which fastens into a cotton covered hook sewn onto the left rear leg. Apart from the missing leg, the whole fox fur is used, including the head and tail.
