Puzzle produced by Q-Tol and given away with every purchase of a large tube of Q-Tol tooth paste or gum tonic. An advertisement from June 1st 1933 in the Manuwatu Standard read: "FREE Q-TOL JIG-SAW. The Jig-Saw Puzzle craze is sweeping the world. It has already begun in N.Z. Buy a large 1s 3d economy tube of Q-tol tooth Paste and Gum Tonic and secure a splendid puzzle free. Both Q-tol Tooth Paste and Q-tol Jig-Saws are wholly made in N.Z."
