Hamilton Local Government Centenary Medallion, 1877–1977. This silver medallion was designed and circulated by South Pacific Mint, Hamilton, in 1978. It marked 100 years since the Hamilton Council's first meeting on February 11th, 1877. The logo of Hamilton City Council is on one side, with 'Local Government in Hamilton, 100 Years' inscribed on the other. The medallion is accompanied by a leather case and an information card.
