Pattern 1853. 3rd model, Enfield rifle .577 inch or 25 bore calibre. Ramrod and brass fittings, front and rear sling swivels.
Tower Emblem "TOWER / LONDON/ 1863" on butt wood.
"1863 / TOWER" stamped on Lock.
Military Ordinance Marks on barrel, lock, and fittings. "H 08", "J.TURNER" "PRITCHETT" stamped under barrel. Loading method: muzzle loading, single shot.
Ignition system: percussion ball and cap firing.
