This metal hand brace is a hand operated tool for boring holes into wood. Resembling a crank shaped turning device which is driven by rotating the centre handle of the brace to drive the metal end (called the bit). With rotational and downwards pressure this forces the bit to drill into the wood to form a hole. This particular brace has an expanding circle cutting bit (Part 2) attachment.
