 Description
One of a suite of twenty black and white photographs taken by Matamata photographer Gilbert Melrose in 1957, and printed by his second cousin Yvonne Todd in 2011.

This suite of photographs are of people gathered at the Walton District Hall in Matamata, and show children in costumes, family groups etc. Some are informal images whilst others appear to be more posed, whether for the photographer or members of an unseen audience.
