Description
The artist depicts, in the manner of a mid-20th century tourism poster, a number of figurers admiring the interior of a cave at Waitomo. The scene is set within a large black painted 'frame', on which is inscribed the name of the work, date and artist's name. The painted scene is balanced but not symmetrical, in its composition. Colour accents of red, blue and green draw the eye into and around the painting.
