Production date

Description
This office building was built for the Thames Valley Co-op Dairying Company in 1919 by contractor EA Chester. The plans show a building of some 280 sq.m. with wooden floors and concrete and brick walls. Four large skylights admit natural light to the office space below, most of which is supervised by the Accountant from his central office. The layout is simple, with all rooms leading off a central hallway. Externally, the building is made more imposing by a decorative parapet and the use of doric columns on either side of the entrance. This drawing shows the ground plan and front elevation.
