Description
This factory was built alongside the existing butter factory in 1928, adding the ability to produce casein which had a wide range of applications, from food additives to button manufacture. The plant provides for the cream and whey to be removed and the residual casein dried and milled before being packaged in bags for despatch. The creamery section can be seen on the left hand drawing (bottom right), with the whey tank at bottom left and the milling machine for the casein at top left.
