Tradescantia Fluminensis. Also known as ‘Wandering Jew’, this native of the Brazilian rain forests was introduced to these shores by a Manawatu farmer to stabilise a steep bank. Now widespread and classified as an unwanted organism, tradescantia suppresses undergrowth in the native forest and invades gardens.
