Description
Box of Visiting/ business cards for the Bella Vista boarding house, 2 Knox Street. Bella Vista building was erected in 1895, and was run as a boarding house from 1912 until the late 1960s. It was demolished in 1972. Bella Vista was run by Margaret (Maggie) Callaghan. The donor records she was known for her hearty cooking, and was affectionately called 'Ma'.
Maggie grew up on Nixon Street, and was one of the first pupils at St. Mary's.
