Wedding dress worn by Ruth Johnstone. Ruth married Frederick Charles (Bobs) Roberts at St. Peter's Cathedral, Hamilton on 28 January 1928. The reception was held at "Three Oaks", the bride's family home.

Donor (Ruth's daughter) does not know who made the dress, but recalls her mother always saying the dress was made of "French Lace".

Dress was stored for years by Ruth rolled up in a cotton rolled oats bag.
