Description
Jewish scarf. Black fine crepe cloth, rectangular with diagonal ends. Made by Margot Phillip's sister. Margot and sister are of Jewish descent, and they escaped the Holocaust and moved to Hamilton, N.Z in the 1950s. It is a Jewish custom to produce a piece of embroidery when a woman comes of age.
