Ink and pencil sketch on blue paper of the paddlesteamer "Pioneer" with a papermark of an imperial crest. Pencil sketch of "Pioneer" on reverse side. The Pioneer was built in Sydney in 1860, the first purpose-built river gunboat designed for New Zealand conditions.
