Description
This image is one of thirty photographs printed by photographer David Hurn following a visit to Maketū Marae, on the Kāwhia Harbour in the early 1990s. Hurn took the photographs while accompanying the Maori Queen, Te Arikinui Dame Te Atairangikaahu, on a tour of marae in the Waikato region.
