Description
This drawing is from a series of works called the Sunny Day Series which were created between 2004 and 2006 culminating in a solo exhibition at the Blue Oyster Gallery, Dunedin. Depicting suburban streets and houses in Hamilton and Mosgiel these works demonstrate the ordinariness of everyday life.

Ruth Cleland (1976 - ) was raised and attended school in Hamilton. She graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from the Otago School of Art, Dunedin in 2002 and currently lives and works in Auckland. Cleland has been recognised through a number of awards and has exhibited nationally and internationally.
