This painting of a building of historical significance in the Coromandel, the Colville War Memorial Hall building demonstrates W.A. McCormack’s interest in scenes of New Zealand landscapes particular buildings in small settlements throughout the country. Working predominantly during the 1970’s, McCormack’s paintings were often featured in popular calenders of the day.
