Description
The photograph were taken by David Cook on commission from the Waikato Museum. It depicts cows drinking/grazing on banks of the flooded Waikato river. This is during the winter flooding on the west bank of the river at Rangiriri in June 1994. The photographer's work diary reads, "Rangiriri - had to take pictures of the flooding - cows grazing in water!"
