Description
Two piece tribal adornment belt traditionally worn by men. From the Bayer Valley Western Highlands Papua New Guinea,1972. The widest inner section is made from tree bark. Over the bark is a natural and dark-coloured woven section that ties at the centre front. Both folded front ends have a wooden piece inserted through for tying the natural fibre ties.
