Tawa Street: Rotowaro - Two Years Apart

David Bramwell Cook
Production date
Photographs taken in 1987 and 1989 by commissioned photographer, David Cook for use in the 2000 Shifting Ground: Stories from Rotowaro exhibition. Images depict the same scene taken two years apart. The upper image shows a single story wooden building. There is a small pup tent erected in front of the tent. There is an established garden in front of the property and a concrete path spans the length of the image. One power pole can be seen to the left of the house. There is a further wooden building beyond this. The lower image shows the same scene but the buildings, tent and path have all gone. An abandoned car is parked in the area where the house stood.
