Balinese pig mask

Description
A carved wooden mask in the shape of a pig head. The mask is constructed from five separate parts including the head, the jaw, two ears and a rod and blocks which provide a hinge. The ears stick straight out from the head with ridges that make them appear like bats wings. The pig is painted in black red and white, with two large upper and lower teeth. The crown of the head is covered in hair.
