Description
Large brown hard covered bound photograph album from the 1850-1860 circa. Front and back covers have raised diamond shapes with a criss criss cross through the centre all within a rectangular border. On the outside edge at the centre is a metal fastener. On the first page is a colourful print of the word "ALBUM' with a surrounding spray of flowers. The pages are full of carte de visite portrait photos, including Bishop Selwyn, the bishop of Nelson, Rev Buller, Rev Hobbs and the Duke of Edinburgh. Some other names in the album are J. Mitchelson, H. Russell, Arthur Moucher, Aunt Russell, John Vercoe, Mrs John Vercoe, Rev Buttle, John Griggs, Emily Grigg, Ben and Walter Lewis, Rev Smith, Roy Way, Larkie Vercoe, George Vercoe, Kate Vercoe, Edward Cooper, W. Robinson.
