Figure of Karemanua, the shark spirit, and Kakafu, his brother whom he bit in half.

Karemanua ate his brother because he saw his own transformation from human to shark while swimming off Santa Ana. The bent tail and band around trunk of the shark are supposed to show a shark still with half-human features. Nautilus shell inlay.
