Description
Korowai made from muka (processed flax fibre). The feathers in the top, right, left and bottom band are weka and pheasant. The body of the cloak is decorated with karure (three-ply thrums) and single weka feathers placed in a diagonal pattern. The bottom is finished with a woven mawhitiwhiti (cross-stitch) pattern interlaced with tanekaha (tan colour) dyed muka followed by a taniko border.
