Biography
Born in Hampshire, England, Anthony Davies did his training at Winchester School of Art and the Royal College of Art, London, and the “Prix de Rome” in engraving.
After which he set up his own print workshop in Cardiff and later in Belfast, Northern Island. He has had over 86 one-person exhibition of his prints and 20 two-person exhibition, and represented Great Britain at numerous print biennales overseas.
He was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Painters and Etchers in 1994. Anthony was Artist in Residence at Elam School of Fine Art, Auckland, in 1994 and Visiting Professor at Florida State University in 1995.
In 2002 he founded the Hotspur Studio in Wanganui.
