Description
With his style described as regional surrealism, Dahlberg's scene of cornfields and small aircraft is not uncommon in the Waikato region. A snapshot of agricultural life, this work reflects many aspects of the New Zealand landscape such as the bright, clear light and striking intensity of colour.

Brian Dalberg (1944- ) was born in Ashburton and was educated at Nelson and Wanganui Colleges. He was a pupil of Louise Henderson who taught him the importance of basic art skills. He has won numerous awards in Australia and New Zealand and his work is held in collections internationally.
