Coromandel Harbour and Township

Maker
Herbert Rogers
Production date
1930s
Description
This watercolour of the Coromandel Harbour and township is typical of works by the artist. Educated at the South Kensington School of Art and the Slade School of Art little else is known about Rogers before he came to New Zealand. He set up a studio and taught classes in Tauranga in 1910 and likely remained in the area into the 1930’s when this painting was made.
