Description
This wall hanging is made from muka (processed flax fibre) and incorporates turkey and pheasant feathers. Muka is weaved in mawhitiwhiti (cross-stitch) and whakapae (side-stitch) patterns. Karure (three-ply muka thrums) decorate the lower part of the wall hanging and the base is finished with a taniko band and natural coloured muka tasselled fringe.
