Description
Baby's outfit knitted in cream and blue wool, comprising hat, jumper, romper pants, mittens. This was made by the donor's mother-in-law for donor's children circa 1973.

The hat is a "tam o'shanter" style knitted in cream wool and with a blue and cream pom pom. The jumper is knitted in cream wool and has a Peter Pan collar and long sleeves. The collar is blue with a cream edge. The ribbing of the sleeves and bottom of the jumper are knitted in blue wool. A blue diamond and wavy pattern appears just above the ribbing. There is an opening in the centre back at top with three buttons.

The romper pants are knitted in cream wool. There are five buttons across an opening at the bottom of the pants. Plaited wool is threaded through the waistband to form a belt. The mittens are knitted in cream wool and have plaited wool threaded through near wrist to fasten.
